This place is outstanding. The Lamb Shank was as good as I used to get when I lived on the cape where the "Blue Moon" used to be so thank you to those who work at the Sun Tavern to make such an amazing evening to share with our friends.

Chicken piccata was so delicious; congrats to chef! Great service and atmosphere with real wood-burning fireplace. Loved the wine selection too.

This is our favorite place for our Valentine's Day meal. The food is always perfect, and the ambience for a romantic evening is wonderful.

We normally sit at the bar, but have brought friends and family to sit at a table took the food is delicious. Love the steak tips, but their sandwiches are great too. They have the best salmon burger I’ve had in a while. They have a good craft beer menu too, and even offered Heady Topper, but their beer list doesn’t change much otherwise. Really cool historic building that is interesting to learn the history behind. Dietary restrictions: Very cognizant of allergies.

The best wine slushy I have had! The live entertainment outdoors was nice, but it took awhile to get a place to sit, bit over all it was nice. Also they have an area for kids to play!

Amazing comfortable place - great food.

We were thrilled to have Sasha as our server. She knows the menu, both food and wine, has a great manner and is so kind. Another couple was there and told her, “we had you last year and are thrilled to see you again.” I wish she was there more often. The Sun Tavern is one of our favorite places to eat in Duxbury.

It is always a pleasure to dine here. The cocktails and food are exceptional! I must mention the service is outstanding as well!

This is a wonderful spot for dinner. The menu is varied and well represented. The wine list is expansive enough to give you strong offerings. The service was outstanding. While we did not sit at the bar, it looked like a great place to sit and enjoy a cocktail. The food was great and the pricing was reasonable for the entire experience. A great spot!

Very classy atmosphere. Our server was friendly and helpful. Although it is not a vegan restaurant, the vegan entree on the menu was one of the best plant based meals I've ever enjoyed.

It's haunted! (I was told...)

Excellent chef-run restaurant. Open kitchen area is a good and interesting place to eat and watch final meal prep. Well-prepared steak and must-have seafood specials. Haddock we had this evening was excellent and the ‘beluga lentils’ were an interesting and delicious addition.

Nice and quiet good food and service, with tasty drinks really good! The fried chicken sandwich is pretty amazing.

Relatively small but curated and well executed menu

First time eating at this restaurant. We LOVED it! Our server Barbara was fantastic. You could tell she was a veteran at this. Friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable. We split a ceaser salad which was very good. We both had the salmon which was also very good. Wine pour was generous and bread served even if you didn't ask for it. Was my wife's birthday and she was given a free desert. The decor was very rustic colonial, tavern style and the tavern area was very cozy and warm. This is a very unique place to eat and we will definitely go back for more. Reminds me of the Wayside Inn in Sudbury.

You will seriously not find a better place to eat. The food menu is small but everyone finds something and the food is beyond amazing. The atmosphere was great too. Very old colonial. The place was romantic and intimate. They didn't rush us out either. You definitely need reservations.

Sasha is the definition of good service

If you like grabbing dinner and drinks in historic places and or old school establishments, this place is for you. Good bar and cool place to watch a game. Somewhat limited menu but food is quality. Crowded spaces though and Tall people should duck (low ceilings!)

This is one of our favorite restaurants We love historical places Especially those with tablecloths... And we have never had a bad meal TOUCHE to the cooks and also to the wait staff .

The Sun Tavern is a little hidden gem but the service, the history and the food was fantastic. Its a place Im heading back too for sure.

My most favorite meal when I was in London. Butternut Squash Lasagna. I dream of eating it again. Divine. Going back to London for Christmas and I’m going to hopefully be able to order it again ❤️❤️

I grew up coming here with my family and a few years back, we hosted a 50th anniversary party for my parents. The attention to detail, care, and friendly attitude of the owners and all the staff made a special day even more special. The food is always delicious and the atmosphere is great. Classy but not pretentious. I don't live in town anymore but I love going back there when I'm home! Highly recommend for date night, special event, or just a regular old meal.

My husband and I are super picky and The Sun Tavern never disappoints! The oysters are always super fresh and shucked when ordered. The meat is always cooked perfectly to temperature... and the Brussels Sprouts... are...to die for! We had Stephanie as our server last time and she was always there when we needed her and made great suggestions... you can tell she cares about her guests! We will keep coming back for the delicious food, great ambience, and of course the fabulous service!!!

excellent food prepared perfectly, and excellent service. Kristen was our bartender / server who in addition to making drinks for the entire restaurant and waiting on the bar, also had several tables. We never felt that we weren't the only patrons in the restaurant.
